These two were an absolute pleasure to work with! Hosted during Nights of Lights in downtown St. Augustine (the day after Christmas, to be exact), the setting was magical for the couple, who traveled all the way from Qatar. Considering the distance, there was A LOT of back and forth messaging during the planning process. It was, 100%, a destination wedding! However, they truly allowed us to guide them to the appropriate vendors for their dream day – from the venues to the vendor team and even to their print materials and custom guest book & favors. They shared their vision and allowed us the opportunity to bring it to life. THIS is what we live for as planners. TRUST. Because we know it's going to be amazing. And it WAS!
Their Arabic wedding was a unique, memorable experience for us! Alia was a GORGEOUS bride- so radiant and poised. She took our breath away as she made her way to Salman in the Lightner courtyard, beneath thousands of twinkling lights. Following their vows, they headed to The White Room for their natural winter wonderland wedding reception!
The White Room staff worked with us to accommodate some of their traditions (ie Arabic coffee), and it was so special to be able to bring some of their culture to their big day here in America.
The couple wanted unique wedding favors for their guests, so we had custom wooden chargers made for each guest! Dodd at Oak & Adze , a local shop on St. George Street, made it happen for us over the Holiday, and they looked awesome!
Alia's bouquet was amazing! It had so much fabulous texture and such a unique combination of florals and foliage. We especially loved the addition of the mini pinecones and large Calla Lilies. The reception florals were a perfect match- winter inspired without being over-the-top holiday centric (which is surprisingly hard to accomplish).
Alia's last words to Brittany as they hugged goodbye were "thank you for making my wedding dreams come true". Brittany said, "That means the world every time it's said by a Bride, but when you've only been able to communicate via Skype and email from another country and somehow manage to exceed expectations (the day after our Christmas Holiday), it truly reminds you why you're in this business."
